Richard Nichols, Horn
Dr. Nichols, based in Greenville, SC, is the Senior Manager of SoundForth, a sacred music publishing company. Holding degrees from Bob Jones University, Southern Methodist University, and The Ohio State University, Rick has been principal horn of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (South Africa), section horn with the US Army Band “Pershing’s Own” (Washington, D.C.), and continues to play with the Florida Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. He has taught on the music faculties of Bob Jones University, Clearwater Christian College and the University of Cape Town. Rick has presented master classes at Florida State University, the University of Florida and Penn State University. As a composer/arranger, Dr. Nichols has had over 100 titles published by SoundForth, Word, Shawnee, and Lorenz.
